Landfill Airspace Event in Gauteng

Wednesday, March 29, 2017
Central Branch

Join the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa (IWMSA)'s Central Branch for a workshop on Landfill Airspace in Gauteng. The workshop will take place 10:00 at Plastics SA in Midrand.

The National and Provincial waste management strategy is very much geared towards waste beneficiation and diversion from landfill. The reality in Gauteng at the moment is that the vast majority of waste generated is still landfilled. The landfill as a waste management option, therefore, seems to still be a necessary reality at least for the immediate future, as plans for waste diversion from landfill and increased recycling are gathering momentum in Gauteng.

The requirement for airspace is consequently something that needs attention. Please join us at this workshop to discuss these matters with industry leaders.
