Objectives
  • To promote best practice in waste management and recycling.
  • To acknowledge the achievements of organisations practicing responsible and effective waste management.
  • To honour and recognise the Reduce, Re-use, Recycle efforts of recycling SMME’s.
We are looking for those who: 
  • excel in innovation and best practice, making them leaders in the industry. 
  • pursue an ethical approach in everything they do. 
  • helps to contain the current landfill crisis through responsible waste management. 
Past winners of the IWMSA KZN Waste Management Awards report a wide range of benefits derived from entering the competition.

As we launch these awards in Central Branch, we look forward to celebrating the role players that excel in the field of waste management.

Participation in the competition is free. Register early! 
 
Registration closes on Friday, 31 July 2020 at 17:00.
The Awards Ceremony will take place in
March 2021 in Gauteng.

Who can enter?

  • General Manufacturing <250 Employees: Industries involved with the manufacturing of products, with a total number of employees of 250 or less.
  • General Manufacturing >250 Employees: Industries involved with the manufacturing of products, with a total number of employees greater than 250.
  • Service Industry: Any organisation which offers a service. For example: retail centres, hospitality establishments, housing estates or educational institutions.

Kindly note that:

  • The IWMSA Central Branch Waste Management Awards are open to all businesses falling within the above categories and located in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and the Free State.
  • If an organisation has more than one premises which operate independently, then each premises must be entered separately and will be judged independently.
