You are requested to submit proposals for Executive/Industry Forums and Workshops - please send your proposals to Reon Pienaar reon@jpce.co.zaand Lesley Ferreiralesley@cebisaconferences.co.za.  Proposals should take the form of a summary consisting of not more than 300 words.

Executive/Industry Forums – ZAR 7 500 - Branded

Executive/Industry Forums bring together stakeholders, for an interactive discussion on a specific topic among a panel of speakers and the audience.  They provide opportunities for the practicing professionals to both share and learn about the latest ideas, trends, and products and innovations of particular interest to the industry.

Executive/Industry Forum sessions are 30-45 minute moderated discussions. A forum submission must include:

  • A Panel/Forum Organizer with a commitment to arrange the specific topic of interest;
  • 3 to 4 Panellists with a commitment to join in under the specific topic.

Before the submission of a panel proposal, it is expected that the Panel Organizer contacts all the envisaged Panellists in order to get their agreement to serve on the panel.  The Panel Organizer will serve as moderator during the panel.

The following structure is proposed.  The organizer/chair has to establish a few questions to be addressed by the participants.  The chair gives a presentation up to 5 minutes at the beginning of the panel, to introduce the topic.  Participants should address the questions posed. With this scheme, there will be enough time for discussion in the panel (which is the main goal of a panel).

The panel proposal should include:

  • Title for the proposed panel
  • Name, affiliation, contact information, and short biography of the Panel Organizer
  • Motivation and background for the panel, indicating topics to be discussed as well.

Names, affiliations, and short biography of the Panellists intended to invite.

The Organisation/Company sponsoring the talk, may choose panellists, topics and questions and make use Organisation/Company branding. The panellists will be restricted to company executives, like CEOs and CTOs, who will give their vision on the forum topic to the audience.

Workshops – Commercial – ZAR 7 500 – Branded

Organisations/individuals who select this option, are permitted to present and showcase application for their products and make use of Organisation/Company/Product branding.

Each workshop proposal must include:

  • Title of the workshop
  • Workshop Organizers (names, affiliation and contact information), limiting up to 1 workshop chair for session or half-day workshop
  • Duration, Scope and topics of the workshop
  • Rationale (max 1 page)
    1. Why is the topic current and important?
    2. Why the workshop may attract a significant number of submissions of good quality?
    3. Why the workshop may attract a large number of attendees, in addition to the authors?
    4. Why the workshop differs from others; i.e., related workshops and conferences of similar topic?

Exhibition Stand Sales Closes                                 23 October 2019                    

The Exhibition will be held indoors and will consist of approximately 12 table stands where Manufacturers and Professional Service Providers will be able to showcase products and services to potential clients throughout South Africa.  Manufacturing companies as well as suppliers of equipment will be expected to exhibit at the conference. In addition, private companies that provide an array of services will no doubt wish toexhibit at the conference. Furthermore academic institutions and government sectors involved in the management of Landfill and Waste Management would also benefit from exhibiting. The exhibition area is particularly favourable as every effort has been made to ensure maximum delegate traffic. For instance, lunches and teas will be served in the exhibition area so that delegates have sufficient interaction with the exhibitors

STAND DETAILS – maximum number of exhibitors: 12

The exhibition will be in a venue where lunches and teas will be served but separate from the conference room/s. The stands will not be supplied with a shell scheme package but will include a table and two chairs. All stand fees, includes a badge, access to talks, teas, lunches and attendance at the Networking Braai for one person and VAT at the current rate of 15%.  Dinner on the 18th, Bed & Breakfasts are excluded. (See accommodation section for more information)
